Unit3: Process of Creating an Intervention 4; Prototype Service Platform version 2.

From latest intervention3 and feedback from stakeholders gave me the idea to build and develop the prototype of the Service Platform version2. This intervention will be developed from the previous service platform. At this time, I have used feedback and new knowledge to collaborate with the Feng Shui master to create new ideas and develop the platform.

This platform is a representative collaboration between Feng Shui masters and designers. The main two main functions of this platform are to educate basic knowledge of Feng Shui & design practices and will help stakeholders be able to apply traditional practices to contemporary interior design in their own way.

Method & Process to create an Intervention

For this intervention, I will work in partnership with a Feng Shui master. The function of this platform is a stimulate the practice of Feng Shui in interior design in a new way(contemporary design). It will help create a balanced environment for the resident. There are 3 main parts of the platform.

Step 1: Calculate the element of each person.

This part will start with calculating the element of each person following the Feng Shui practice. By using the end of the number of years of birth.

• This part is the main responsibility of the Feng Shui master.

Step 2: Clarify & Educate

This step will provide detail of the basic principles of Feng Shui and Interior Design practices.

• This part will associate with both Feng Shui and the Designer.

Step 3: Show the Results

This part will show the results; Mood&Tone, Theme, and Perspective, of the guidelines on how we can apply a traditional practice to interior design in a new way.

• This part will main create by the interior designer, within Feng Shui master consulting.

The Process Design

In this part, I (Designer) work together with Feng Shui masters to apply Feng Shui practice to contemporary interior design according to the five elements of the Feng Shui principle.

From the beginning, the Feng Shui master is responsible for suggesting the principles of Feng Shui in the interior such as colour, material, shape of furniture & decoration and location. Then the designer(me) is responsible for considering the aesthetics of contemporary design and how they can match. Last stages, we will guide for considering and adjusting both practices in the most suitable way.

Working with a Feng Shui master to create an alternative way to practice Feng Shui in interior design.

The ideas of sketch interior design that based on feng shui principles based on the five elements; Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

Reflection of create this intervention

After working with the Feng Shui master, I realize that we can use creativity as a tool to connect the conflict ideology to become a solution to find a new way to solve the problem. So, we just opened our minds and empathy with each other. As a result, it can transform our relationship become a partner and the new invention will be starting.
