Unit 3: When Feng Shui meet Design; Learning "How to apply Feng Shui theory with Design theory".

This research focuses on learning how to merge two different ideologies between Feng Shui theory and design theory that might create new knowledge to create a new idea.
What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is an ancient theory about the relationship between people and places. It is based on the belief that there is a continuous flow of energy between humans and their physical surroundings. This principle represents the energy flow of wind and water to create harmony among people and space, and this harmony promotes success, health, and a sense of community.
It can be said that Feng Shui principles can be applied to interior design. Therefore, most of the residents will choose to Feng Shui practice to suit their own space.
Feng Shui Theory in a modern way.
I have read the book name "Feng Shui Modern" book by Cliff Tan to learn that "How Feng Shui can be applied to present-day".
I found an interesting topic that can be used to connect with design theory such as color and shape theory which this theory can relate to the balance of five elements in Feng Shui principles.
After I have studied feng shui theory meanwhile I also studied design theory to find the connection point between these two theories. The theory of art and design that I focus on are colors and shapes.

Color of Feng Shui Theory
There are Feng Shui principles to learn when considering color in their home. The effects of color in a space influence the balance of yin and yang following the Feng Shui principle. It can categorize colors through the elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood) and five elements are each represented by a color range.

In terms of a psychological test, Dr. Susan Dellinger said that shape and form represent our personalities and attitudes. Another term for shape theory. Here, we’re mostly talking about the psychological impact of different geometrical shapes that correspond to a specific feeling.

Reflection
The qualities of each element are linked to art and design theory (Color&Shape), which is related to the environment that might be a factor in promoting a balanced and harmonious space.
Conclusion & Reflection
When I study insight into the theory of feng shui and design, I found the connection point between the two theories is color and shape. As a result, I come up with the idea of creating the concept in my service platform for educating people who need to practice Feng Shui in a modern way.
