Next Step in Further.....
Updated: Dec 1, 2022
I am able to see two main potentials for further development. Firstly, my project will continue in action research by collaborating with experts in various fields together with testing prototypes with customers to develop new theories in order to produce new knowledge and new praxis.
Obviously, my connection was expanded from Unit 1. From the beginning, I just only had contact with the Feng Shui master, Interior designer and customer, but now I am going in the border of various contexts of my research to learn something in a new way.
Collaborative design and Research

Now, I have extended networking of the design project, and I can clearly see the dynamics of this project. It shows Co-design and teamwork as activities that demand that the designer thinks in terms of interrelated activities that complement design creativity rather than limit it.
"Co-design also plays a role in the evolution of commodity design."

Secondly, from conversations with product designers and attending Design Events, I was inspired to develop this project to be able to operate in a sustainable way, by studying in sustainable materials and innovative production.
Sustainable Concept
I will reinterpret recycle material into the meaning of 5 elements( Fire, Earth, Metal, Wood and Water)
Water will be replaced by recycled materials from clear plastic bottles, for giving a clear glass texture.
Wood will be replaced by recycled material from waste wood.
Fire will be replaced by recycled material from electric bulb scraps.
Earth will be replaced by recycled material from clay and ceramic.
Metal will be replaced by recycled material from scrap metal.

Moreover, I not only apply the traditional practice of Feng Shui in contemporary interior design but also will transform the traditional good luck object into a contemporary decoration through Feng Shui principles that might bring good luck to you as well.
Sketch Design Develop of Good Luck Object
These are some sketches and ideas of Good luck objects that I will interpret the meaning of shape, materials and colour of ancient good luck objects to a contemporary product design in a logical way.
Example of sketch ideas of traditional good luck object Feng Shui.
Lucky Feng shui Toad: The representative of prosperity in money.

Lucky Wind Chimes: The representative of successfulness.

Fire Element: a decoration for supporting the resident who is a fire element.

Water Element: a decoration for supporting the resident who is a water element.

In the end, I hope this project can help create balance and harmony in personal space and also it can promote the space for the world to become a better space.
