Feng shui is now considered a pseudoscience. Many young folks believe it's all a ruse. Despite this, the practise continues to have a significant impact on our lives today. What exactly is feng shui, and why is it so important in Chinese culture?

What is feng shui? Let’s try to explain it.

The method, whose name literally translates to "wind-water," is based on ancient Chinese wisdom that holds that matching constructed structures with their natural surroundings—creating a harmonious link between the two—attracts success and wealth.

Despite the fact that the complexity of feng shui may be perplexing to some, the majority of its activities adhere to three primary theories: the theory of qi, the five elements theory, and the yin-yang theory.

How exactly does feng shui influence our lives?

Now that we understand the fundamental theories of feng shui, we can go on to study how to use it to better our lives. Most people resort to feng shui masters in this situation—professionals who employ specific instruments (such as the Bagua, the traditional calendar, and the Chinese almanack) to determine what is ideal.

Feng shui gurus and their expertise can be used practically everywhere if they have these resources. Any important event or activity, such as ceremonies, festivals, architectural decisions, and burials, is subjected to practice.

Therefore, it can be said that People still touch and believe in the principles of Feng Shui and is connected to their daily lives.

Are we still believers of feng shui?

Feng shui, as a pseudoscience, is surrounded by a lot of scepticism about its veracity. Although Chinese society is dominant in this belief. Western critics still argue about the feng shui principle

Feng shui was branded the "most absurd creation" by Roman Catholic missionaries when they first learnt about it in the 1500s. China was even accused of being backwards at one point. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, two famous philosophers and thinkers, dubbed the country an "embalmed tomb at the end of the world."

Fast forward to 2021, and feng shui is gradually losing favour, particularly among younger generations who have been heavily influenced by Western society.

The practice, on the other hand, isn't going away anytime soon. Feng shui continues to have a significant impact on our lives, and younger generations almost automatically follow it today.

Why? A belief or an experience?

Everything—human, material, natural, spiritual, or cosmic—is related in a higher pattern of existence, according to Chinese cosmology, which plays a significant part in feng shui.

Feng Shui is the way of principle that has an influence on the living because he could not have hope for his present life. Therefore, Feng Shui is a part of us that may not always way or produce direct, tangible results.

In other words, if you get your feng shui perfect, you might have a better probability of having a good outcome—which is why people keep practising it.
